1967 Silvertone 1452 Hornet Amp and Case
This 1967 Silvertone 1452 Hornet and original amp in case is in very good condition. There are some nicks, dings and scratches on the body of the guitar as well as some old “magic marker” touch up on the back body edge (see photos). The metal cover plate plug for the tremolo is missing. One of the hinges for the case is operational but wonky and the tremolo arm is missing in action. Overall, this cool set is in fine condition and is fully operational. The amp still retains it original tubes, works great and also sounds pretty righteous! The guitar itself has been set up with larger strings and is tuned low. This guitar could be set up with lighter gauge strings if you prefer to do so. This guitar in this tuning is exceptionally inspirational and both “lipstick tube" pickups sound excellent. The neck on this guitar is straight and has a very comfortable medium to chunky neck profile. The frets show only slight wear and have loads of life left in them and the guitar plays excellent up and down the fingerboard with great action. This is a very cool and fun instrument that plays and sounds great!
