This 1965 Supro Coronado is in overall excellent cosmetic condition showing signs of use and wear throughout including some pick scratches and dings but nothing major. The P is missing from the Supro logo on the peghead, the Coronado text has worn some on the pickguard, and the trem arm is missing. There is a sticker and some wear through the finish on the back of the peghead (see photos). This instrument appears to have had a professionally refretted fingerboard that was done with the vintage correct size wire that really makes this guitar extremely playable. The neck profile is that of a medium chunky, rounded C shape with a 1 11/16” nut width and really feels fantastic and comfortable in the hand. This guitar plays fantastic up and down the fingerboard. The original Valco pickups sound great and have a strong output. These pickups really have a nice Lo-Fi punch and sound tremendous overdriven and clean as well. The vibrato tailpiece does function properly (even though the arm is missing) and the original tuners are in great working order as well. These Supro Res-O-Glass instruments are exceptionally cool and collectible and this one plays and sounds great to boot! A gem of a guitar shipped out safely and promptly from our little shop here in Clarksville, Tennessee, to your front door.
