Very good condition featuring double cutaway hollow body, laminated spruce top with multiple bindings, laminated maple back and sides, white binding on the back edge of the body, two f-holes, Kent tremolo system, two interesting gold foil pickups, one volume and one tone control with white plastic knobs, two on/off sliding pickup selector switches and output jack mounted on steel metal control plate, single ply white pickguard, bolt on neck construction with original plastic screw covers, maple neck, bound rosewood fingerboard with pearloid small block inlays starting at the 3rd fret and double dot pearloid inlay at the 12th fret, oversized peghead with chrome colored Kent logo, elongated six-string string tree, open gear six in a line tuning machines with white plastic buttons, sticker with 551 Americana and Made in Japan plate on the back of the peghead, two metal strap buttons, and sunburst finish. This 1960s Kent electric hollow body guitar is very fun to play and has a very unique tone. The bridge base and fully adjustable tune-o-matic style bridge are modern replacements. Most of the 1960s Japanese guitars are basically unplayable, but this Kent is set up in good playing order and would make a fine and quirky addition to any vintage guitar collection.
