Very good condition featuring single cutaway, laminate maple hollow body construction, single PAF Gretsch Filter'Tron pickup, rocker bar bridge with wooden ebony base, Gretsch G cutout tailpiece, two oversized f holes, white binding on the top and back body edges, Gretsch plexiglass pickguard with metal bracket, one Gretsch G with arrow knurled master volume knob, tone selector three way toggle switch, two-piece laminated maple neck, ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl neoclassical thumbnail inlays starting at the first fret, black headstock overlay with mother of pearl Gretsch logo inlay and Anniversary model plate with engraved diamond, original open gear "rope" smooth button tuners, bone nut, original screw in place strap buttons, two-tone Smoke Green finish, and original hard shell case.

This 1958 Gretsch Single Anniversary model is a pleasure to play with extremely low action and a very straight neck. Any action can be achieved with proper set up. The patent applied for Filter'Tron pickup with original plastic pickup surround has been installed upside down either by the previous owner or from the factory (This is, after all, a Gretsch guitar!). The pickguard appears to have been moved from its original position and may be from a later model Anniversary 6125. There are two filled holes from the pickguard move (toothpicks). The electronics function perfectly and sound outstanding. The original frets are in decent condition and the original white Gretsch Brooklyn NY label is fully intact and bears the serial number 31343. The Anniversary model was only available with humbucking Filter'Tron pickup or pickups from 1958-1961. As a lover of all things Gretsch, this particular Gretsch instrument is no exception to the rule and could make someone a very proper hollowbody electric guitar for many years to come.
