1979 Fender Stratocaster Hardtail Natural
This 1979 Fender Stratocaster is in very good condition. This Stratocaster is in exceptionally fine cosmetic condition and shows normal age and play wear including some pick scratches on the pickguard, a few small dings and wear spots and some finish checking throughout. This instrument is original throughout with the exception of the saddles (the originals are included) and a capacitor that has been added to the volume pot. This Strat has a medium chunky “C” shaped neck profile that feels exceptional in the hand and is super comfortable to play. The rosewood fingerboard is tidy, dark and nice and looks pretty killer paired with the contrasting pearloid dot inlays. The original fret wire on this guitar appears to have been dressed a few times and the wire is pretty low, but it is free of any dents or divots. The guitar plays great up and down the fingerboard with low smooth action and it does not buzz or fret out. This instrument could benefit from a refret or could be played just the way that it is if desired. The original electronics are in excellent working order and have been cleaned. The original pickups sound extremely good and have a very punchy articulate tone with tons of clarity. The bridge pickup is not overly bright or “ice pick” like and the 2 and 4 positions have plenty of “quack.” This guitar sounds killer through a clean Fender amp, but also shines with overdriven tones and especially with a Big Muff circuit! This 46 year old Strat weighs 8lb 6oz and has a very nicely figured ash body. This guitar is housed in an older but unoriginal black hardshell case and will ship out promptly and securely from our little shop here in Tennessee to your front door!
