1977 Gretsch Country Club 7576 Natural

This 1977 Gretsch Country Club model 7576 is in very good condition. This instrument shows signs of light play wear and age throughout including some finish checking, some very faint pick scratches on the pickguard and some tarnishing of the gold metal hardware, but is otherwise exceptionally clean and appears to have been well cared for. This guitar is all original with the exception of the strap buttons, but the original knurled metal strap buttons are included and could be easily reinstalled if desired. This Country Club has a very comfortable and fantastic feeling slim “C” shaped neck profile with a 1 11/16” nut width. This neck is super easy to play and is not overly slim but also isn’t chunky - the neck size is on par with most late 70s Gretsch hollowbody guitars that we have encountered. The original frets are in great shape, have tons of life left and are free of any dents or divots. This Gretsch has received a pro set up and it plays absolutely fantastic up and down the fingerboard with low smooth action and killer intonation. The dark ebony fingerboard is super clean and looks incredible with the contrasting mother of pearl block inlays. The electronics are all original and are in perfect working order. Both original black topped Filter'Tron humbucking pickups sound amazing and deliver some righteous clear articulate tones that are perfectly suited for jazz, hillbilly and thumb style picking, but this guitar will also get pretty raunchy with an overdriven Vox style circuit and will nail some pretty solid rock, rhythm and blues tones as well! This 48 year old Gretsch Country Club is an absolute gem of a player with killer 1970s appointments and vibe all the way down to the brown tinted plastic pickguard and tailpiece insert that are very reminiscent of the lenses in Jim Jones' sunglasses. This Gretsch weighs 9lbs 2oz, is housed in its original Gretsch hardshell case and will ship out promptly and securely from our little shop here in Tennessee to your front door!
