1977 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Wine Red

This 1977 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe is in very good vintage cosmetic condition and is in excellent playing order. This guitar shows signs of play wear and age throughout including some small dings and scratches throughout, a small chip at the treble side of the bridge, some tarnishing of the chrome metal hardware and some buckle wear on the back of the body. This Deluxe is original throughout with the exception of the tuning machines which are a set of Kluson style Gibson Deluxe tuners with key stone plastic buttons and the bridge which appears to be an old Gotoh unit. This guitar features a medium rounded neck profile that tapers larger toward the 12 fret and a 1 11/16” nut width. This neck feels fantastic in the hand, is super comfortable and has just the right amount of chunk. The rosewood fingerboard is clean, has nice color and looks stellar paired with the pearloid trapezoid inlays. The original frets are in great shape, are tall and show very little wear. This guitar has received a pro set up and it plays beautifully up and down the fingerboard with low sweet action and great intonation. The electronics are all original, have been cleaned and are in perfect working order. This guitar has visible potentiometer codes that date to the 25th week of 1977. The original Gibson mini humbuckers sound superb and have an aggressive biting tone with plenty of mid-range articulation that excels with an overdriven amp but also cleans up nice. This Les Paul Deluxe weighs 10lb 5oz and is housed in a Gibson Protector (Chainsaw) case with one broken latch. This guitar will ship out promptly and securely from our little shop here in Tennessee to your front door.
