This 2017 Gibson '64 ES-345 prototype is in near mint cosmetic condition showing no signs of play wear throughout. The neck profile on this guitar is that of a chunky, round early '64 shape with a 1 11/16" nut width and feels amazing in hand. The frets show no signs of play wear and have an entire lifetime of use left in them. The Bigsby tailpiece functions smoothly and really adds to the overall aesthetic and vibe of this 345. The MHS humbucking pickups sound absolutely stunning through a clean or dirty amplifier and truly capture all of the vintage Gibson Electro-Spanish tones of days past. This 345 has a Mono Varitone switch that is very usable and helps achieve some really interesting and unique sounds. The Olive Drab finish is exceedingly cool and pairs well with the dark rosewood fingerboard and split parallelogram inlays.

This instrument is a prototype and is part of the Gibson Mod Series. The COA is labeled ‘64 ES-345 Mod Series Proto and it came from the Memphis factory with the “Stinger” peghead and the stop tailpiece bridge stud plugs. I acquired this guitar from one of the GMs of Gibson USA. This is a fantastic, unique guitar and a great opportunity for someone to own a Gibson prototype. A gem of a guitar shipped out safely and promptly from our little shop here in Clarksville, Tennessee, to your front door.
