Excellent condition featuring single cutaway mahogany body with cherry red stain finish, two-piece highly figured Plus maple top with Light Burst finish and cream binding (thin binding through the cutaway), two Gibson 57 Classic humbucking pickups with cream pickup surrounds, two volume controls and two tone controls with amber speed knobs, three way pickup selector switch with cream Rhythm and Treble poker chip and cream tip, single ply elevated cream pickguard, fully adjustable Nashville tune-o-matic bridge, stop tailpiece, bound rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays starting at the third fret, Gibson open book peghead, black peghead face with pearl Gibson logo inlay and printed Les Paul Model logo, multi-ply bell shaped truss rod cover, three on a side Kluson style Gibson Deluxe tuning machines with green keystone buttons, serial number and Made in USA 2016 Model impressed into the back of the peghead, single ply textured black plastic electronics control cover plate and switch cover plate, two metal strap buttons, and brown Tolex covered hard shell case with red plush lining, paperwork and factory photo. This guitar weighs 9lb 8oz.
This 2016 Gibson Les Paul Traditional Plus is in fantastic cosmetic and playing condition. This guitar is extremely clean and tidy with just two very small dings on the top and a few pinhead size impressions on the back of the body which are not able to be captured in photos and are only lightly visible in person. The two-piece maple top has beautiful curl and looks great with the Light Burst finish. The original pickups in this guitar deliver incredible sounding clear yet thick tones that Les Pauls are notoriously famous for. The Gibson Deluxe tuners and Nashville tune-o-matic bridge help keep this guitar in solid tune and keep the intonation on point. The neck is a medium chunky '59 style but smaller than some R9s. The frets on this Les Paul show hardly any signs of play and have a lifetime of use left. The truss rod cover is a replacement with no engraving. This is one of the better Les Paul Traditionals that I've played. If you're looking for an incredible sounding guitar with a great top, don't look past this Lester.
