2008 Guild F-412 Jumbo 12-String Acoustic/Electric
Excellent condition featuring Sitka spruce top, arched maple back, maple sides, multiple bindings on the top and back body edges, tortoise shell grain pickguard, rosewood bridge, mahogany neck with maple center stripe, bound ebony fingerboard with abalone and pearl inlays, bound peghead with inlaid Guild and Chesterfield logos, six per side Grover tuning machines, built in electronics with internal soundhole mounted controls, gold plated metal hardware, two strap buttons, and original black hard shell case.
This big Guild guitar sounds amazingly warm and articulate with plenty of volume due to its jumbo size and arched maple back. It is in overall excellent cosmetic condition showing minor only play wear and slight finish delamination of both sides of the area where the fingerboard meets the top (see photos). The maple back and sides are beautifully figured as well. This 12-string guitar is very lively and open sounding. The low end is punchy and smooth. The D-TAR pickup with internal soundhole mounted controls and 18V preamp sounds nice and adds some versatility to this guitar for gigs where you need to plug in. The fit and finish and overall build quality of this guitar is very nice. The Guild Guitar Company has changed hands a number of times through the years, but their 12-string jumbo flattops have long been well regarded for good reason. Their American made guitars very often evoke both the style and sound of their vintage predecessors from Guild's golden era. An absolutely stunning guitar that will surely get even better with age.
