Tone City King of Blues Overdrive Pedal (used)

Very good condition and in perfect working order. The pedal has Velcro on the bottom, a few small dings in the finish and some text in Sharpie below the switches (can likely be removed).

From Tone City: Tone City are well-known for producing some of the world's best value pedals, without compromising tone or quality. With their King of Blues pedal, Tone City are taking on a giant of the overdrive world. Heavily inspired by the highly-desirable KOT pedal, a unit used by musicians all over the world, the King of Blues comes very close at just a fraction of the price!

One design element that really separates this stompbox from other similar pedals at its price-point is its 2-in-1 format. This means that you have access to two overdrive flavours, providing excellent tonal variation. Channel A is a powerful and potent overdrive with plenty of mid-range, whilst Channel B has a fatter and warmer quality. So in context, the mid-focused sound of Channel A makes it ideal for playing solos or heavy riffs with, capable of cutting through mixes. Channel B is therefore more suitable for subtle lead moments, where you don't need to be the loudest in the band but still need all of the sustain and response for a warm and musical tone.

Some pedals that have two channels can be over-complicated, featuring multi-band EQ sections and more. However, the King Of Blues keeps it simple, with both channels featuring 3 dedicated knobs - gain, volume and tone. These controls are the staples of the overdrive world, with the single tone control allowing you to introduce more top-end presence if you're plugged into a dark-sounding amplifier.

  • Two overdrive channels
  • Dynamic amp-like response
  • Engine A: Plump middle frequency, outstanding edge
  • Engine B: Smooth and fat tone
  • High-quality DIP components
