From the manufacturer: The SVDS Boost is derived from the colorful analog boost we discovered within the famed Schaffer-Vega Diversity System (SVDS) wireless unit used by David Gilmour, Angus Young, Eddie Van Halen and a long list of guitar legends who toured with the SVDS between 1975-1984. Originally intended to power a 1/4" Monitor Out, guitarists were "accidentally" using this opamp to boost their signal and push their amps. This unintentional discovery may be the first full frequency boost ever used on stage, and in AC/DC's case, in studio!
Unlike typical clean boosts, the SVDS Boost adds vintage coloration and harmonics that instantly transport you to the greatest era of guitar tone. The "Goalpost" EQ enhances harmonics and extreme ends of the frequency spectrum, while maintaining midrange. The result is an effect that spans the distance between boost and overdrive.
